Submit a Nomination for the CREATIVITY + COURAGE AWARD

Nominations for the 2017 award will be accepted on a rolling basis through 30 June 2017.

The Creativity + Courage award is made to a living artist who is African or in Diaspora, working across all genres (art, literature, dance, film) who has shown an abiding commitment to the freedom of creative expression, while having their own contested.

Artists at all levels of their craft—emerging, mid-career, established—are eligible for the award. An emphasis will be placed on the use of their work as an act of courage.
