MR.Gandy
Africa's Out will set a new precedent relative to high visibility of contemporary artists creating benefits to bring greater awareness to human rights issues and specifically LGBTQ issues that people of the African Diaspora face.
Rahsaan Gandy is rapidly becoming the must-have personality to host premiere art and media events. Evolving from humble beginnings, Mr. Gandy immersed himself into all things art, style, and culture as a young man from Seattle. He quickly realized that his quick wit, acute visual aesthetic, and infectious personality were commodities that could be used as resources to help him maneuver his way into the upper echelons of exclusive social communities. As a self-made lifestyle renaissance man, Mr. Gandy has garnered the attention of the creative world, and has proven himself as an event producer, creative consultant, interior stylist, comedian, and emcee. He has worked for such notable artists as Wangechi Mutu, Derrick Adams, Renee Cox, Mickalene Thomas, and Kehinde Wiley.
When he’s not working with clients, Mr. Gandy enjoys traveling the globe, honing his comedic craft, and cycling through the streets of NYC on his vintage red bike. He also enjoys giving back and making a difference through his role as Art Advisory Board Member for Rush Philanthropic.
